Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Vocabulary app for iPhone (listed on the App Store as “Vocabulary - Daily English”) and its widgets, published by San Thu Gao (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Vocabulary you agree to them and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Using Vocabulary
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Vocabulary on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or its word content, or use it to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights. Word definitions, examples and translations are provided for learning and may contain mistakes.
Accounts
You can use the app without signing in. If you sign in with Apple, Google or email, keep your sign-in details secure. You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete account.
Vocabulary Pro
- Vocabulary Pro unlocks unlimited new words every day, Smart Review, exam and topic packs, premium widget styles and offline packs. It is offered as a one-time Lifetime purchase and as an auto-renewing weekly subscription. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The weekly subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- A Lifetime purchase unlocks Pro for as long as the app is offered, on all devices signed in to the same Apple ID. Use “Restore Purchases” to unlock it on a new device.
- Monthly and annual subscriptions bought in earlier versions of the app remain valid until they end or you cancel them.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue them directly.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. If we discontinue features you have paid for during an active subscription period, you can request a refund through Apple.
Disclaimer
Vocabulary is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
